In the first real photo, dozens of white Stainless steel box bodies that have been sprayed are stacked layer by layer, waiting for the door panel rubber strips to cure before final assembly. Each box surface is covered with a uniform and fine white electrostatic powder coating. The corners are neatly bent and the welds are smooth and full.
This batch of boxes is made of 304 stainless steel as the base material and is coated with outdoor-grade electrostatic powder white. White coating has practical functions in outdoor scenarios - the light-colored surface reflects the heat radiation of sunlight. In the high-temperature environment of summer, the surface temperature of the white box can be 8-12°C lower than that of the dark gray box, which helps to reduce the temperature rise inside the box and extend the service life of components. This is also the reason why outdoor distribution boxes in the European and Middle Eastern markets generally prefer white coating.
The second picture records the door panels that are matched with this batch of boxes. The door panel has been completed with white spraying, and continuous black waterproof rubber strips are embedded in the edges. It is currently in the stage of rubber strip curing and standing still. The rubber strip is made of EPDM (Ethylene Propylene diene monomer rubber) closed-cell foam material. It is embedded into the sealing groove on the inner side of the box door through a dedicated gluing device, and the entire circle is sealed without any breaks.
The reason for allowing the sealant strip to sit and cure after installation is that, once embedded, the adhesive on the back of the EPDM strip needs sufficient time to fully bond with the stainless steel groove, preventing subsequent delamination or warping. Additionally, internal stress develops in the strip during compression and insertion; allowing it to rest enables the material to regain its natural elasticity, avoiding surface unevenness caused by stress release after assembly.
After each batch of door panel sealing strips has cured, quality inspectors conduct random checks on the flatness of the sealing surface and the consistency of strip rebound.
Before shipment, entire boxes undergo rain testing or IP65 airtightness sampling to verify that the sealing performance meets standards. The EPDM closed-cell foamed sealing strips selected by Ouyue Electric have a long-term operating temperature range of -40°C to 120°C, maintaining stable rebound and sealing properties even after years of exposure to outdoor sunlight and rain.
The third picture shows the internal structure of a fully assembled Stainless steel outdoor rainproof distribution box . The five key components are clearly visible and disassembled item by item as follows:
The door panel is equipped with a stainless steel tongue lock. When closed, the tongue lock tightly grips the lock plate on the inner side of the box door frame to ensure that the door panel is tightly closed and the sealing strip is pressed down. The lock core is made of 304 stainless steel, which is rust-proof and anti-jamming. According to customer requirements, universal key locks, anti-theft triangular locks or press-type spring opening locks can be selected as options, all of which support batch customization.
From the inner perspective, it can be clearly seen that the black EPDM waterproof rubber strip is completely distributed along the inner circle of the door panel without any seams or breaks. When the door panel is closed, the rubber strip is evenly pressed between the door panel and the box door frame, forming a continuous elastic sealing surface that prevents rainwater, dust and moisture from seeping through the door gap.
The top of the box is equipped with an inclined brim structure that extends forward. The function of this bending design is to guide the rainwater flowing down along the wall or above the box to an area far from the door gap, preventing the water from accumulating along the upper edge of the door panel and seeping into the sealing surface. The brim of the hat and the main body of the box are made of the same piece of board through CNC bending and are formed in one piece. There is no need for welding, and there is no risk of weld leakage.
The interior of the box is equipped with detachable movable mounting plates for fixing circuit breakers, contactors, terminal blocks and other components. The installation plate is made of galvanized steel plate or stainless steel plate and is fixed to the embedded studs on the back of the box with screws. The detachable design means that customers can complete the pre-assembly and wiring of components outside the box, and then install the entire board into the box, improving on-site installation efficiency.
The interior of the box can be equipped with metal partitions according to customer requirements, dividing the space inside the box into independent electrical partitions. The functions of the partition include: achieving physical isolation of circuits of different voltage levels, separating the main circuit from the control circuit, or providing an independent shielding space for specific components. The partition is fixed to the partition bracket inside the box by screws, and its position can be flexibly adjusted according to the customer's drawings.
Whether you need a standard outdoor rainproof distribution box or a non-standard box body deeply customized according to project drawings, Ouyue Electric can deliver a stainless steel distribution box that can stand the test of outdoor use with the manufacturing capabilities and quality control standards of the source factory.
